On Saturday, to celebrate all of the Veterans who served this country proudly, the Grave Creek Mound will be devoting their Second Saturday Film to the Veterans of West Virginia.
“Vietnam: West Virginians Remember”
This documentary from West Virginia Public Broadcasting features the experiences of five West Virginia combat veterans. Per capita, West Virginians served the most and died the most in Vietnam. It lives on as America’s most controversial war- with questions unanswered and lessons not learned. For veterans who survive, including thousands of West Virginians, haunting memories remain.
There will be two showings of the film, at 1pm and 3pm.
Wrap your Saturday up at Grand Vue Park.
The SMART Center will host a Star Watch on Saturday, November 11th from 8:00 pm to 10:00pm at the Zip Line Base Camp. View the constellations with the new 16” telescope. Please dress for the weather and be sure to keep warm by the campfire. If you would like to schedule a private session or school trip with the Observatory please contact Robert & Libby Strong of the SMART Center at (304)-233-4667.
