Collectors are thrilled to visit the Fostoria Glass Museum and admire some of Fostoria’s most beautiful pieces of fine Glass. Fostoria was in business for nearly a century, producing a wide range of tableware and stemware while still maintaining an exemplary quality throughout. It is highly collectible, with many of the pieces affordable for the novice buyer.
The Fostoria Glass Company began producing glass in 1887 and became one of the largest makers of handmade glassware in the United States. In 1924, the company was one of the first to start a program of national advertising, and the first to produce complete dinner services in crystal. Fostoria’s business peaked in 1950 when they made over 8 million pieces of glass. In 1986, the company ended nearly 100 years of glass making.
