“Moundsville: An American Story” Film Showing at the Strand Theatre
January 19 @ 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm$5
When journalist John W. Miller discovered Moundsville, he knew there was a story to tell–and that the people of this community were the ones who should tell it.
After writing multiple articles on Moundsville for national publications–including the Wall Street Journal–John teamed up with Pittsburgh filmmaker Dave Bernabo to make a unique documentary on Moundsville that showcases some of the town’s biggest characters, most-knowledgeable residents, and colorful history.
On Saturday, January 19th, the Strand Theatre will offer a 2pm matinee, and a 6pm showing of the well-received documentary that tackles Moundsville’s past, present, and future–all from the mouths of prominent members of Moundsville’s community.
For only $5, you can see for yourself what the film offers when talking about Moundsville and the economic changes it’s undergone in the last 50 years.
